Nightmares vs ME/CFS

When I wake up from nightmares, even horrible nightmares about memories that caused me severe trauma, I always want to go back into the nightmares. Because at least I was alive in the nightmare and out in the world. Nothing can compare to the emotional and physical suffering caused by having ME/CFS. The complete lack of life is more painful than anything my mind could ever come up with.

But we keep going even if this life is worse than our most terrifying nightmare. Because we have no idea what lies ahead. One day at a time, we can endure anything ME/CFS has in store for us. Until it is over. And the nightmares are what scare us again.
