Martin Luther King Jr Day

Martin Luther King Jr was part of a movement to fight for civil rights for a group of people who had been marginalized and faced unimaginable prejudice and worse ever since being brought to America as slaves. This movement wanted justice, equality and freedom for African Americans.

I will not compare what African Americans have gone through in this country to what we have. They are separate struggles. But we are both fighting similar battles for rights, recognition, equality and justice.

I would like to pay homage today to one of America’s fiercest freedom fighters.

And on this day make a small act of peaceful protest of my own to fight for justice for the ME/CFS community.

There is some recent unfortunate news for ME/CFS patients in this new year with this new president.

"Biden...announced that Francis Collins, the longtime director of the National Institutes of Health, will continue leading the $40 billion research agency." [Of which he allocates $15 million per year for ME/CFS research]

-Stat News

Anyone who has the lack of conscience and morality to allocate only $15 million per year for ME/CFS research is unfit for the job and should be removed immediately.

Donate to ME/CFS research at the Open Medicine Foundation to help stop the suffering of millions and end ME/CFS.
