A Small Glmpse of Autumn

I’m very disconnected from the seasons - being in my room, in bed all the time and never even getting to smell the change in the air. I used to love that first day when you walk outside and smell spring, fall or winter. But now it might as well be spring and it would change very little for me except how often my heater turns on.

But there is a gigantic Oak Leaf Maple tree just out of sight to the left of my sliding glass door window. Every once in a while a gust of wind blows through the tree and carries with it loose orange and brown leaves.

All I wind up seeing is the leaves tumbling and swaying back and forth in the wind, moving diagonally to the right and down, across my window view. It’s quite magical.

A small moment of beauty in an otherwise monotonous void.
